Return fuel line size
Hi,
This has been asked lots of times but it seems inconsistent, my fuel line from the fpr to the hardline has failed. It was AN6, my MOT (check over for roadworthiness in the UK) is in a couple of days and for speed was just going to use a rubber fuel rated hose but what size is it please? 8mm? 5/16 ? 3/8 ?
thanks
Gareth

Dash 6 is nominally 6/16 = 3/8. More important question is what's at the hardline....is it stock, or a new -6 dash line, or a compression fitting on the stock line?
If you have a male fitting at the FPR and a stock line, an 06-05 adapter and 5/16/8mm hose would be the way I'd go to avoid pressurised fuel leaks from trying to squish too big a hose https://www.speedflowdirect.com.au/4...aight-hose-end, if male fittings on both ends, 2 of the 06s and 3/8 hose.

Thanks for the replies, I had an AN6 line with a standard female screw fitting into the fpr but where it clamps onto the metal line from under the car it was a hose finisher on the AN6 line. It is that I think that’s failed, or it might be the hose but definitely that connector. Looking today as was working till late yesterday.
My feeling based on the replies is just putting a hose barb on the fpr and then running 5/16 rubber high pressure fuel hose and be done with it. Should be fine shouldn’t it.

I believe the stock fuel line is 8mm. It's a metric size - don't know if you see more metric hose in the UK or standard. 5/16" is a tight fit, 3/8" is a bit loose.
Make sure to use fuel injection rated hose - hose that isn't rated is a fire waiting to happen.
