Resurrecting my third gen - Q1
I also replaced my fuel filter not long ago, its not sooo hard as i read in some threads. Took me about 45 minutes.
But ok, i have to say i didnt pull the fuel relais and let the engine run until it dies because of no full, i just pulled the fuel hoses off and and put it to the new filter.
Wish you luck with your build up!

Probably should have read the previous posts before using the car all week to run my kids all around, but, now I have another problem.
After working perfectly all week since I got the new belts on, yesterday, during one trip the check engine light came on along with a blinking hold light.
Stopped and turned the car off, then a few hours later, took it for a ride and the check engine light was off but the blinking HOLD light reappeared. Then, an hour later, started it again and once again the check engine light stayed on along with the blinking hold light.
All the while the car drove and operated perfectly.
Going to check the fluids but if they are full, what else do I need to do?

you need to pull the engine code. its real easy. i pulled this off the 3rd gen faq.
ECU Codes: how to pull and interpret diagnostic codes
http://www.fd3s.net/engine_codes.html
once you figure out the code, you can decide what to do next.
edit... aw crap, i didnt mean to comment on an old post... was doing research and got carried away
