Like he said, he only has a intake. Do you all have downpipes/full exhaust or something. I think that would lower the temps. I dont know how much though.

210 is fine. the only people at 180 etc are modded usually with pfc's. fan switches etc..

i'm getting a set of defi gauges, too, so i'm glad to see this post. looks like you got the defi link gauge. i'm thinking of getting the D-gauges 'cuz they're cheaper (no control units) and i like the way they look (less fancy, closer match to factory gauges). i'm getting water temp and boost. where did you install the temp sensor? i've been told the best place is at the thermostat, by drilling into the water pump or something. anyone?

let me know how the gauge works out for you. and post pix

210 i would say is normal for hot/dry weather and 190 on a warm summer night.

Staying as close to stock in appearance as possible, including illumination, is important to me. And I don't mind paying more for quality. Would you have any recommendations?

so are the d-gauges not reliable/accurate? i just got a dual pod for the gauges and they're 52mm so i can't go 60, and honestly i can't afford something way too $$$. the bf's are nice but they're too fancy. and i also really really would prefer staying close to stock in appearance. please tell me more reasons not to get the d-gauge

D=No Waringing Signal/Tone (Amber Illumination), BF=Datalog & Warning Signal But $$$ More than "D" & Green In Illumination.

BF is the nicer of the link series, you can get 52mm gauges in the "link series"

they are backlit green though

Autometer electronic gauges ae GARBAGE. We don't even offer them any more since a large percentage of them we sold/installed didn't work right from day one. Many EGT gauges just pegged the needle upon warm-up and many of the boost gauges were calibrated all wrong and displaying the wrong boost (as verified w/ an HKS EVC4, most of our own cars have them). We offer Defi and GReddy as quality gauges built to last and be accurate. Sunpro = pep boys = no thank you. For a cheap/reliable gauge company I recommend SPI.
