Tim sorry to say but looks like its going to be out of pocket for now. The longest thing covered under warranty is PCM and emission stuff. And thats only 80K or 8 years. Altough it may become a recall if enough FDs go up in flames. sad to say but true. One other thing is that they (Mazda) would say that there is nothing wrong with the part, but is just "old". They would need to change the design or add something to make it a recall.
