replacing trunk lid struts

Just got replacement struts for the trunk lid. Anyone have some insight on replacing the existing struts?

What is the procedure? Are there interior pieces that need to be removed?

Thanks!

As I recall, It's only held in place by two bolts on one side and snaps on to the ball on the other side. It's probably a good idea to get a new pair of those ball things, because it's hard to pop them off without breaking them...you will need to screw the new one onto the hatch. You don't have to take off interior peices except for a small plastic cover for the two bolts. Easy 5 minute job on each side...
