Replaced rear wheel bearing!

...and I thank DamonB and 7Racer for their write up of a couple of years ago. I couldn't have done it without the valuable information you provided. The only difference was that I wasn't required to remove the dust shield. Thanks again, gentlemen!

Ok in the article it mentions that if the wheel bearings are on its way out the ABS light will be on. My one unfortunately is on so does this mean my ABS isn't working?

Is it your rear or front bearing that's going out?
I am not an expert in suspension components, so I'll defer to published treatises or the information provided by those who are more knowledgeable in such mattters, but as I understand, the front has a sealed hub assembly and so may, therefore cause ABS symptoms. Unlike the front, however, the rear has a separate, replaceable bearing, so may not result in ABS failure.

The bearing would have to be extremely bad to cause the ABS light to come on.
It would have to be causing wobble for that to happen. Not likely with your car.
