RENESIS engine in an FD??????

Here is pretty close to what Mazda is working on as far as Rotary Vehicle Development:

Our sources tell us we are right in the ball park.
As for the swap to the FD... it still a wait and see. The 5 speed tranny in the Euro version of the 8 is almost identical to the current FD box and would be the box of choice for high performance upgrades (boost). The 6-spd is a little less strong... not really meant for high torque or HP.. doesn't mean that a MazdaSpeed 6-spd box might not be
