There is a canister in the front driverside that the duct is wrapped around. My question is a) what is that canister and b) how do I get the duct off around it or do I need to unbolt the metal pipes running to the top of it?

ok, well I found that it is the air conditioning "tank" that I am trying to get the ic duct around. anyone have advice or should I just cut out around it?

You have to put a "Type R" sticker on your car now, and drive it around like that for a week as punishment!

 

I just pulled it upward and slide the duct out underneath the tank. Thanks for the help everyone
