Thumbs down removing the spare tire with bose what a pain!

man o man had to vent , anyone else think its the biggest pain in the *** to get the spare tire out in the bose equiped cars?,

unclip this, unscrew this, remove this, swing this around! lol man its crazy.

anyone have any stories about this?
accidenty breaking something? or unable to figure it out, or a car you know thats worse then this?

i think it\s worse on vehicles where the tire is lowered via cable under the car.

Yesssszir! That's y I took Bose system out and use a box instead!

Its easy. A couple wing nuts and a clamp. I admit the whole thing is a ridiculous design but its not difficult to remove.

I don't know if it's worse but on the new Mini Coopers at work we had to put the spare back on and the tire doesn't seat till you get it high enough to have these clips engage the spare holder. I sometimes feel European cars have a buddy system in order to do things like putting the wheels on, you have to line them up just right before you can screw the lug studs in.
