Angry Removing Rear Wiper Arm

So my wiper arms are in rough shape with paint chipping and fading so I decided to repaint them. I removed the front wiper arms with no issue. The rear wiper arm however is giving me a hell of a time. I removed the nut holding the wiper arm in place but cannot remove the actual rear wiper arm for nothing. I figured I'll spray some WD-40 to remove some possible gunk/grime but the wiper arm is still stuck in place. I tried to search the site for a thread on this but to no avail. I feel retarded that this is actually giving me issues, but can someone who's had some experience in removing this rear wiper arm please share some tips on hpw they got it removed? thanks!

It should just come right off. It's just rusted on there then.

Get some PB Blaster in there. WD-40 is a lousy penetrant. Then, work the wiper arm back and forth a bit as you pull up.

I just did one for a friend recently, came off no problems, it just came straight off. You're just fighting that corrosion.

Mine came off right away when i painted the car. Maybe try with a rubber hammer to give it some strong taps, but not to mess it up. Maybe yours has some bad rust or something that kinda glued it

I appreciate your tips guys. I'm going to stop by the local Autozone and purchase some of that PB Blaster and hopefully that should do the trick.
