Removing Radiator Opening Fascia

Whats involved in removing the black plastic fascia that blocks the outer edges of the radiator opening in the front end?

WHy do you want to remove them? They help direct air into the radiator instead of around it.

Thats the way it looked to me. But it seems many people remove them once they go to a larger radiator and intercooler. So I thought if it wasn`t a big pain in the *** I would try it and see if it made any diifferance one way or the other to the engine/under hood temps.
