howdy...
I think it should be the same base model or bose... there are two skinny plastic pieces on both sides of the head unit that should be able to be popped off..
Once you pop these off you will notice two holes per side of the head unit...
if infact there are two holes on each side, find two thick metal coat hangers (the cheap metal kind) and cut out two sections both about 10 inches long... just make sure they are long.
once you cut them, bent them into a U <-- just like the U looks put the pointy ends into the holes, push as far as they will go and pull, this will release the clamps holding the head unit in place and the teeth inside will grab the metal and u should be able to remove the head unit... peace!

If the coat hangers don't work, you can buy the U-shaped Ford / Mazda stereo removal tools at your local Walmart or autoparts store. Insert them in the holes, then pull them to the outside, that is angle the two tools to the outside of each side of the stereo, as you also pull backward on the unit to pull it out of the dash.
The holes are hidden under two narrow plastic strips at each end of the radio tape player.
If you can't pry them off with your fingernail, a very small flat head screw driver will do it.
