Removing gauge pod

I need to replace the gauge hood (got scratched up by a mechanic removing my inspection stickers!). I've managed to find all the screws that need to be removed, and I've pulled the assembly free from the spring connectors. So the whole pod is loose, but I'm hesitant to pull it out too far - not sure about the length of the wiring for the gauges. My question - does anyone know how many connection points need to be disconnected? I guess I need to pull the pos out far enough to reach behind there and disconnect? Any other tips for doing this would be appreciated. Thanks

its like 4 plugs and a couple of lights. you should be able to safely get your hand behind it and unplug all the connections, I found it to be fairly easy.

There are seven connectors to the gauge assembly.
