removing front turn signals for more air?

i've seen a few race prep fds having the front turn signals removed....is this for more air flow into the engine compartment? if so do you have to do some cutting or anything? i'm too lazy to go downstairs and take the signals off to see myself

get the feed headlight intake duct if you want more air flow for cheap.
id say its for weight purposes if they are race cars?

I dont think you would get much extra air.. I think its more for if its not there it cant be broken and fall on the track.

what you want to do is make more air go thru you radiator or directly to your airfilters, air-metal cooling is not that great, water to metal cooling is much more efficient. The more air you get to your radiator/intercooler/airfilters the cooler your car will run. ifyou can do that as well as get more air to yoru engine bay, the better.

I have the FEED duct, and unless you're going to remove the headlight, there is not much room to get air through there. I took off the little plastic blocker thing on the hood right behind the headlight...that way, any bit of air that actually makes it that far can still trickle over to my air filters (Pettit intake) but it can't be much. Looks cool though :-)
