removing dual factory BOVs?

ok, hopefully this wont spark a debate about on whether this will damage the turbos etc but just wanted to ask a quick question.

From looking at them it just seems like theres 2 factory BOVs, but apart from the obvious, do either of them do anything else, like release pressure off the second turbo compressor outlet when your at a lower rpm(using the first turbo)

Had a quick look at the manual but wasnt sure so thought its best to ask

Why do so many FD owners want to pull stuff out of the engine bay?

Leave them alone. They are probably the most reliable components on this car and are not doing you any harm.
