Removing CD Player

I am having a problem removing the CD Player in my FD. I tryed using the DIN tool with no sucess. Does anyone any ideas?

The Culprit is likely that rubber bumper on the rear -- it is snug into a metal clamp type hole. You just have to muscle it out. The Din removal tool only releases the side spring clips. I remember getting behind it with a long flathead from the bottom and pushing it free.

Mine was pretty tough as well due to what the gentleman above was saying. I managed to wedge the tools at an upward angle and keep steady pressure on it until it popped. Yanking doesn't work.

I found it easier to use a coat hanger than a din tool. I used a small 1' section and stuck both ends in the release holes, this gave me a good handle to yank on.

Yep, just did this. I had to remove the entire trim plate (ac controls etc) to remove it. Also had to pull the main gauge console out a bit to remove the ac trim plate
