removing the catalitic convertor.
I am planning to remove the catalitic convertor on my '92 RX7 Efini.
I would like to know if there are any sensors in it or if I can just remove and replace with a straight pipe.
Reason : It's making a lot of noises.

I don't know about your local laws, though....
I'm not even sure if you have an airpump on yours, but if you DO, don't worry about the hose for now. You can just leave it hanging. If you have an airpump, there will be hose attached to the car coming from the pump.

Yeah, I switched mine around. You REALLY notice a differance. Not so much on the low end, but a lot on the top end. Not to mention that it also removes a lot of heat it produces and weight.
The turbos spin a lot faster since there is less restriction. Thing is, in the states, we need an upgraded ECU before switching out the main cat. Othersise, our engine will risk running lean. Again, I'm not really sure how you guys are configured overthere. I know the Jap spec FDs dont even have a precat. They only have the main cat, and adding a midpipe to their FDs may not even require an ECU upgrade, but again, I don't know :p.
