Question Remove AST & replace W/ radiator

I posted this in the performance forum but I have not gotten a response.
I am thinking of doing the AST elimination. If I run the AST hoses to a radiator in the pasenger side duct will it cool efficiently? Will it work at all? I do not have a second engine oil or transmission oil cooler in the duct.
Thanks
Rick

I thought about that a while back. I don't know how much water flows through that hose though. I don't see how it could hurt, but I also don't know if it would be worth the trouble/money.

I think you should try it. If it works, I will do it too.

Try doing a search on this debated topic; there are a few good threads. I personally wouldn't elminate it, due to the fact that it there to remove air bubbles from the coolant system. I would just upgrade it.

it would not flow a great volume of water just check the small hose size. My guess do not spent to much time or money here ,Garfinkle takes the AST jugs out with out any problems ,his has been out for 6+ years

I did this due to the fact that my ast broke 300miles from my house and I did not have a spare to fix it... Now I hear water running, even with toping off several times...

I have now bought a second 3rd gen and my old car is just sitting... ='[
