Remap after more restrictive exhaust

Hey all.
Right, to cut a long story short, my car will be here soon, and has a Blitz Nur spec - very free flowing, but VERY loud.

I've got a trackday booked soon which luckily doesn't have any noise limits, so i plan on getting it mapped before then with the Nur Spec on (Other engine mods: uprated IC, Tiger Silenced midpipe, HKS downpipe, airpump removed, PFC)

However, in order to get it on other tracks, i'm going to need a quieter exhaust, which will probably end up being more restrivie - if i get it mapped with the Nur spec on, will it be safe to then change this to a more restrictive system? The reason for asking is that i'm probably not going to have toime to source another exhaust before it's mapping session.

I know going to a more free flowing system can cause issues, but what about going the other way? If i keep an eye on the boost, i'm guessing things should be ok, providing it doesn't start spiking for some random reason!

Cheers all
Si

Depends on how "restrictive" it is. I don't think there are big enough differences between that and other 3" free flowing exhaust like the Racing Beat or SMB to warrant a re-tune / re-map.

Well, if my budget can run to it I'd love an RB twin exit, But I'm also considering an Apex'i Hayabusa as something a bit different for track work, as i've found one fo ra good price and i love the looks.
If neither of those then probably a 5Zigen or an HKS Silent Hi Power

You will be fine with a more restrictive exhuast. If you were to got the other way (open exhaust), you might have a problem.
