Just wondering, I was looking over the reliability mods at Rob's site, and was curious if any of the products listed are either inadequate or there is a better product. Also, if I am missing anything, could you please correct me!

screw the knock sensor, get a Apex'i PFC

it includes knock sensor and retard unit, and will give you full diagnostics of your car

get off the friggin stock ECU as quick as possible

 

Well, IMO, the A/F gauge is going to be pretty much useless you are also going to use a wideband O2 sensor.

Skip the FMIC unless you plan on upgrading your ECU at the same time.

Also skip the J&S Knock sensor for now.

The vacuum lines, don't worry about them unless you already have a boost problem. If you have a problem, then replace them otherwise, if it ain't broke, don't break it.

Down pipe best bets are m2 or petitt

boost gauge you can do better but it will cost a lot more. defi is a favorite

vacuum hose....support the forum vendors and buy the kit from them.

Antiroll bar mounts....racing beat sends new mounts with thier bar. you only need the brace for heavy racing/autocross

rubber intake hose...this is not a vacuum hose. These are intecooler interconnnects.

pass on the air/fuel and get a pfc and commander. you will need it if you plan to do all these mods

water temp is good one to have. defi makes a cool kit for all gauges

knock sensor...not sure on that one

radiator..koyo is also good

intercooler...depends on what kind you want. front mount, stock mount etc...

you can search each item on its own and find piles of info and opinions.

 

I agree here. I've had the 4 wire Greddy sensor which is as good a non-WB as you can get and quickly went to the FJO 5wire WB unit. You should skip the A/F meter at your level.

The J&S I haven't used but I would skip it as well. There are also issues with tuning with it because if you go to zero or sub-10 split with your timing as many do, this could cause some issues I've *heard* with the J&S since it will retard your timing on the leading only in the case of a "knock sense" and you may wind up with your trailing firing before. Do a Search for more info on this.
