Registering Import RX-7 in US-S Carolina

Hello all, I have searched and read the "K3 shipping your POV to the US" and everything before asking this question but still haven't found anything clear. A quick background of it: I moved back from Japan a few months back and the military shipped my RX-7 back for me, it wasn't due to ship until August later this year, however I just found out that it was sent early and just cleared customs in CA and is now heading this way possibly later this week. My question is, what is the correct process of getting it registered here in the US? Do I have to wait until it is here and I receive the paperwork from it? Or is there a way I can get it completed and to be able to drive it off the lot? I currently have just a copy of the Export Certificate and the shipping documents. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks a lot!

Michael

What state will you be registering it in? They're all different about their requirements. I can only speak for Florida having done it quite a few times

You'll just have to call the dmv in whatever area you're going to be in. Every state has different requirements
