recall question

I checked the recalls on my 3rd gen and Mazda said it needed the "Mazda speed carbon fiber hood" recall....any idea what that is?...the stupid secretary didn't

It only applys to the aftermarket hood made by Mazdaspeed. Since Mazdaspeed was at one time sponsored/affiliated to Mazda, they felt responsible for them, therfore the recall announcements.

If you have the mazdaspeed hood, the hood latch can break off - and the hood fly up to the windshield.

If you don't have the mazdaspeed hood, then you have nothing to worry about.
