Rebuilding my baby after 1st crash
After 12 great accident free years. Got into my first accident due to the floor mat slipping over the accelerator pedal. Just thought I share pictures of the shock and awwww from the initial accident to whrere I stand now. Also I'm posting the pics. to show the true devotion of an original RX-7 owner who would rather go through the long rebuild process then start tearing the car apart and selling it off piece by piece. I'll continue to post pics as it get near to being finished. Enjoy.....Dave

you could photobucket/imageshack the photos.
or just do what you already did and keep posting in the first thread showing 5 photos every post.
btw, the rebuild is looking really good.

I'd much rather see photos uploaded to the forum vs them being hosted on an external site. Many times I've searched for howto/diy's and find that the pictures are missing because the url has changed, etc, etc. Photos uploaded to the forum stay on the forum servers and thus I think would have greater value down the line

Wow, progress is lookin good! Hats off to you man. Good luck on gettin it back up and goin! Are you doin the work yourself?
And on gettin all the pics in one post and keepin them on the forum server, start a thread in the "Test Area 51" section >https://www.rx7club.com/test-area-51-49/ and just come back here and image link the pics into one post.

Norman Collision of Great Nerck, NY
Floor Mat slipped over the accelerator in the middle of moving traffic (of course not realized at the time). Had to make a left with traffic onto a one way (straight was a gaurd rail). Almost made the turn (I think I was at about 50+mph) rear end skidded out hitting the guard rail then spinning me into another vehicle. 1st accident in 12 years of driving my car and for that matter any car.....Car had been sitting in garage for about 4 years and I had fogot that I had suspended the collision aspect on my insurnace......
But you know after 12 years of enjoyment and incident/accident free driving I wasn't about to junk it. If you've got true love for the car and deep pockets its worth it. Its actually got a lot more underneath the hood and throughout the car then you can see with your eyes......

They were the originals but the padding was worn off on the bottom and the mat had become real flimsy were your foot would rest to press on the accelerator. Not real sure of precise details from the accident. Only figured out that it was the floor mat when I went to see the car the next day and examine.
