I paid $900 for my set, including removal/replacement. However not all turbos can be rebuilt, depending on the condition of the housings. If the housings have large cracks then your only choice is replacement, so don't necessarily expect to be able to rebuild them. Hope this helps.

It's hard to tell how many mi is on a used set so you'll have to trust the seller.

Rebuild is about $850 I think. A lot of people have said that it didn't work out for them.

Oh and to answer your other question, a lot of stuff... hehe. The main (read: expensive) things that need to be replaced are the engine (check compression), turbos, and paint. Other less expensive ($500-$1000) things are susension bushings, shocks, radiator, and in general fixing various leaks (oil, coolant, freon, gasoline, air, if it can leak, the RX-7 can find a way to set it free ).

well...my first rebuild was 1500...turbo city...leaked almost immediately....at the peak of leaking they burned a quart of oil every 200 miles.

six months later my second rebuild was 1100 ...performance techniques.....lasted less than a month...sounded like a dentist drill upon installation...smelled bad.

(they blamed me...though it was obviously a balance issue and the fact that when the turbos got opened up the wheels had NOT been changed like they claimed...needless to say they refused to warrantee the suckers)

third set m2 ballbearing twins (shoulda done this in the first place) ...hauls ***.

screw rebuilt turbos...they suck wallet!
