a friend and i wear attempting to install some lowering springs on my 94 this afternoon. we got the fronts on easily, but the back gave us a bit of trouble. the nut that connects to the sway bar end link, by way of a nut and screw that you need a wrench and ratchet for, wouldnt come off. we tried pb blaster to help losen it but it wouldnt budge. is there some trick to getting that part off? installing it is simple after that, its only two bolts to remove on the shock tower.

 

I soaked mine overnight in liquid wrench... came off pretty easily. I would soak it overnight and use a large torque wrench (breaker bar).

 

just make sure you have the right size and its easier if one person holds the one wrench in place while the other person goes at it from behind...probably sounds confusing. Look for the write ups for re-doing the rear suspension bushings. The pictures and write up will explain it better which makes it alot easier...at least when i did it not to long ago.

 

can't you just take an impact gun to it???

 

Funny, I just did mine about 5 minutes ago. I know what your talking about, I had to do a search, found the answer. It's only one word, "strength". Thank god I work out, I didn't have a breaker bar(at a friends) handy, but sitting next to me was my midpipe that is going on soon. Slipped it over the rench and went at it. Free'ed right up. Just keep working at it. Im only 19 so I'm sure anyone can do it.

Just to add, it took me less than an hour to put on my coilovers, pretty straight forward.

PB blaster and a breaker bar, mine came off with ease..goodluck!

 

we used a impact wrench, thats how we got the front done fast. the problem was in the rear. on one side i got off the nut that connects the a-arm to the shock, but after that i had to get off a bolt using a wrench and socket and that bitch did not want to budge. used pb blaster too. so we went to the other side and then the impact wrench stopped working so we said **** it. that nut and screw part is stuck on there good
