Rear Speakers
Do a search in the Interior/Exterior/Audio section. I had recently replaced the rears in my 94 PEP and they were 5x7, and there was a special factory bracket for mounting.
They are 5x7 , Ford uses them alot .I have installed 6x9 with large maginets in mine with 6.25 in the doors . Two 8 inch subs in the rear hatch .All Memphis brand .

Good link.
I was working at this place. I got a really really good deal on a set of Infinity Kappa series Speakers. What pisses me off is that I got 2 6.5 component's, 2 6.5 two ways and a four channel amp. however the rears don't fit obviously (had an Sti) and my installer says the 6.5 fronts would never fit yet in an rx7 in a magazine I forget which one (the green and cf one) they list the installed speakers as 6.5 fronts of Polk audio.
Anyone who can recommend something to me would be really appreciated.

The stock front speakers are 6.5". As long as they are shallow (<2.25" is easy, 2.5" is pushing it, >2.5" will require some creatvity), they will fit easily in the front doors.
For the rears, make some plates (a board to adapt the 6.5 speaker to the 6x8" bracket/opening). Use some foam around the speaker to "seal" it to the interior panel (have the foam around the 6x8 plate/speaker to seal it against the 6x8 hole/grill in the panel). I think the bass response depends on this to a significant degree.
It would be best if you could use the component speakers in front. You might be able to use them even if they are deeper than 2.5" by using a spacer. Since there is no tweeter sticking out, you can probably space them more than a normal speaker.

i have the stock brackets if anybody wants them... but then again, mine's a '92 RHD (which still should be the same), and i'm all the way across the ocean (dunno how much shipping's gonna cost)...
Well when spring comes and snow clears i'll see whats going on worst case scenario I guess would be fiberglass for the rear and fiberglass kickpanels up front and drill a hole in the door for the tweeter.
BTW thanks MAxcooper
