Rear speaker cubbies

Real fast question I own a 92 FD RHD it does not have rear speakers but it has cubbies does anyone know if there are wires already ran back there? Just wanted to know before i rip the back panel out for nothing

Looking at both the JSPEC and US parts catalog there is only one part number (FD0167-050) for the wiring harness that contains the rear speaker wire. So, it is likely that the connector is there behind your cubbie.

Nope. Ain't **** there homie. I have my interior apart right now and I even went to double check.
The wires that would technically be to the rear speakers lead to the bose subwoofer. I suppose you can take those wires and use them for rear speakers, but then your bose subs wouldn't be functional. That is weird however that there is only one harness shown in the electrical diagram, but then the speaker setups are different (2 speakers w sub vs 4 speakers) so the harnesses HAVE to be different...

Either way, this is kind of a wasteful thread.. You're going to be taking out the cubbies either way so might as well look. And if the wires were there, you would still have to cut the connectors so might as well run new wires instead of using old crappy mazda wire.

Ok cool thanks guys, i was asking because i didn't want to order rears and go to install them without wires thats why i posted don't wanna rip it out for nothing
