I was driving about 5mph in a parking lot and turned to park and Heard a loud thud. It turns out that my rear toe link snapped in half any reason why this would happen?

Another note, I was not driving the car hard at all that day or the day before. I had how ever few days before Did some sprited driving.

 

Stock toe link or aftermarket?

Get some aftermarket replacements (and search for the thread on protecting the ball joints from the elements that DamonB posted).
