Rear end diff is making me nuts!!

So I decided to change my rear end fluid while I finished up the tranny fluid change.

For the rear end I was told to use 24mm for both drain and refill. So then I go out and get a nice 24mm and it fits in the drain bolt, but it doesn't fit in the refill bolt, it's just a tad bigger so I'm thinking it HAS to be a 23mm. I go and buy a 23mm Craftsman combo wrench, come home and it doesn't fit!! On the wrench the open side seems to KINDA fit but the closed end doesn't.

What is the trick to this damn bolt?!?!?

I did mine a couple of weeks ago and it was a 23mm bolt. maybe you just rounded the head using the other wrench.
