Help Rear Clunking noise yes AGAIN!
Yes I know this is a repost of some of the troubleshooting about the rear clunking noise. I have done a search and have found no useful pics of anything about leading to where or what bushing are, etc... So I'm here frustrated and now I need someone to point out what my car is doing.
I parked my car in my garage and put the parking brake on. I got under the left rear wheel and literally rocked my car back and forth by pushing and pulling. I took a picture of what is making the noise I need someone to tell me what this part is and what is the best replacement for it and where I can get it (I want it re-enforced so it wont happen again). I highlighted it in green with arrows the back end of it is definately the source as it bulges out when I rock the car back and it clunks really bad. The right side doesnt seem to do it though but I would like to replace the right side anyway for preventative reasons. I'm guessing its the trailing arm?

I substituted the whole liftbars (right and left) with custom ones, made of stainless steel rods mounted on metal rosejoints instead of the rubber when I changed my clutch to decrease the jurking that was resulting. They where custome made by my sepcilist. Now they are rock hard and with no noise at all.

Those are the trailing arms. Mazda does not sell a bushing for the trailing arm, so you have to buy a new one. Aftermarket ones will not last as long as OEM and cost more, although you can easily replace the bushings with the aftermarket pieces.

Will these work better than putting new bushings in? Also do you know if they come in pairs?

You can't get just bushing just like rynberg said. If you want aftermarket ones try these

They already did one group buy but they are setting up another. I will be getting my toe links from the next go around.

Mine are similar but essentiallly the same. The only difference is that I had them custom made here instead of ordering them from RX7store. It been nearly a year they have been on my car and till now they work fine in realtion to my new clutch.
The will be a bit stiffer since they are not mounted on rubber. This could result in making it a bit eaiser for the car to slide from the back if hard pressed so one has to pay attention.
As far as noise produce they are totally silent.
