Real cheap china compression tube for fd anyone ever try ?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/300963802832?item=300963802832&viewitem=&vxp=mtr

Has anyone ever tried this part or has this part ? I think it is a fairly new product since I have not seen it before, there is another one made in the USA on ebay going for $111 shipped but this one I made an offer of $30 instead of the $59 and it was accepted lol so plus shipping it's $55, it's worth the try and if it doesn't fit I'm sure I'll get compensated back for it.. It also says it's made out of Stainless Steel but I highly doubt that it is.. Does anyone have this part tho ?

eh, it does the job, casting is rough and porous. It IS aluminum.

Mine didn't fit with dashpot, and i had to lap the sealing surface. That one looks a little better though.

Been running the ebay elbow going couple years now. As Brodie121 said, does the job and it is aluminum.

And this one you guys speak off is the one from the auction and powerseller I posted up ? Or from the one being made in USA going for $111 shipped ? They appear the same but they are different sellers and this one Im looking at is coming straight from Hong Kong.. What did U do have to do to modify it Brodie you said it didn't fit ok, did you have any problems with the fitting Bufferov ? I would hate to have a cheap one shatter and send small pieces of aluminum into my engine...

That would be the other kind, different design and different sellers... This one has a weird shape that no other one has, and it has a hole on the bottom too, I don't think the other one or the Greddy have either..

It's thick so I wouldn't about shattering. Fitment wasn't an issue with me but my setup is basically bare bones. Mine looks more like the first link also. With some polishing stones + dremel you can really clean up the casting.

That second link says AI which I'm assuming they're referring to Aux Injection but many owners put their fast-IAT there; so I can't tell which it's for.

Buddy of mine calls that the Freddy elbow .

It won't fit that great, you may have to do some work with it as stated. Used Greddy elbows are all over the place for not much money, I'd rather have the real deal.

BTW, they've been making those things for ages.

What work needs to be done for it to fit properly ? Not fitting great means it will leak air / boost which that's not a good thing at all..

Casting on the those are kinda rough, you can clean it up with a dremel tho. With real GReddy elbow going for under 100 bux in the FS section, I would go with those instead, plus I like them with the GReddy logo

I didn't see any for sale and I would rather buy local and be able to look at it first... Well yes the Greddy logo would be much nicer than a cheap one.. Are the Greddy ones smooth in the inside or you have to smoothen them down as well ?
