RE Amemiya twin turbos?
would anyone have ANY possible idea what RE Amemiya could do to these to make them more powerful?

It sounds like an old school twins upgrade -- ported housings and bigger compressor wheels. The problem is, the bigger wheels and higher boost levels snap the still stock shafts like toothpicks!
