RE Amemiya Redom

Has anyone bought a used remapped redom ECU? I think that they are tuned for individual cars. I have intake, downpipe, catback. What will happen if I buy one and it is tuned for bigger injectors? And also are there any differences between the USA ECU and the Japan ECU that would cause it not to work? If this is in the wrong section, please move it.

The car will run too rich. It will most likely run like crap and you'll run the risk of washing away the oil in the combustion chamber with too much fuel; thus causing excess wear.

Since bigger injectors need to be on less at low RPM wouldn't it cause the car to run lean not rich? The on time of the big injectors would be shorter then the required on time for smaller injectors.

P.S. Lean is not good either! Injector difference would definitely cause your car to run funny if not run at all or be harmful.

Yes, you are correct. I was thinking about larger injectors with the stock ECU.

Just buy a used Pettit, it will work on US fuel with no problems or questions.

This is what I was thinking. Thanks for the information. I am not looking to make more than around 300 rwhp. I suppose I will just get an Apexi PFC and just run the default map.
