RE-AMEMIYA "Genki 7"

On the cover of Super Street this month.
Yeah... I'd pick it up.
I like the idea behind the car *futuristic/RX7 is still alive* but the color...ugh.

Teaser.

The car also has Greddy products everywhere & management.... E-manage (Blue) *scratches head*
25G Single Turbo making 480ps...so around 470 at the wheels.

That v-mount is gorgeous.I never understood why the 25G was so popular over in Japan and not here in the US.

Hello Guys

Thank you for posting about Genki 7.
It was most popular at TAS 2009.

Our V-mount is very popular and high performance, but very expensive.

TD06-25G and street port combination is very streetable here in Japan.

Hello again

I mean TD06-25G and street port combination is so popualr here in Japan.
Of course Side port is better performance, but more expensive.

This Genki 7 is sideported.

I have 2 FDs for my personal cars.

One is TO4S and Sideported for street, the other TO4Z and Sideported for the track.

Different port finishes.

Sideport I'm pretty sure is commonly referred to as a bridgeport.

Hey inukai, doesn't "genki" mean like "what's up" in Japanese?

Hi

Genki in Japanese itself means ' healthy' , 'vigorous'
Mr. Amemiya named the car as 'cheering up ' .

Because many people are depressed owing to recession in the world, he says.

Far too easy... therefore I didn't think of it

It looks like an R35 raped a lotus exige, and this is it's love-child...

I think those wheel covers are temporary to until the wheels are done right? Thats my one issue with the car. I know it improves aerodynamics though.

I'm down with that colour! It's a nice change! It's a WAYYY different colour for a unique RX7.

Ack. Any restyle that includes eliminating the rear tail light design is an automatic non-started as far as I'm concerned.

That said, Id like to see it with the original tail/rear design integrated, and without the rear wheel covers.

I agree. That would be ideal. I think the rear is the only part of the car Im not ga ga over. I imagine that when this turns into a production car, thats exactly what will happen anyway. The side view of the car reminds me of a dog using those doggy wheel chairs, but in reverse I guess.

The whole rear just looks so out of place.
