RB exhaust
What is the pipe diameter? Does it flow as well as most others such as PFS/Apexi/greddy/etc...
I am looking for something quieter and obviously the RB is the quietest but does it flow as well as the others. I have the n1 dual but with my ported engine and the midpipe it is so damn loud. Even with the borla welded into the midpipe its a bit much. So Im just gonna get a PFS catback unless the RB dual is as free flowing, if so then thats my plan B.
So any input from RB dual owners that have had experince with other aftermarket catbacks?

I don't have any experience with any other aftermarket exhausts but I can tell you that the RB is 3-inch diameter pipe until the muffler in which it Y's into 2 slightly smaller diameter pipes in the muffler cannister. You might lose a couple hp off the top compared to the duals, but who's going to notice 2-3 hp?

There was a thread a while back where someone switched from a RB Dual to a Greddy PE and noticed a slight increase in performance on the butt dyno.
I'm sure there is some difference as Rynberg stated the RB is a little smaller. I doubt you'll notice much if anything at all. But as you know, quiet doesn't equal great flow. However, I think the RB Dual is probably your best compromise.

i should get 600hp @ 25psi
Dave,
I also heard the decrease in power is minimal. You already have your answers, but I'd say the exhaust is worth it. I'm very happy with the sound, but with your open exhaust, and ported engine, you will still be loud. For right now, I have both cats on (until I'm done with emissions), and the idle, as well as some throttle is not too loud over stock. But you can't escape the fact, that you will be paying the price for that power you have in decibels.

I have the RB single and love it. Hardly makes a peep at idle (compared to stock of course), and when you get on it it sends out a nice note. Didn't really notice a difference between it and the dual tip I heard once on another's car. I have a DP and stock cat.

My problem is figuring out which tip is the sexier.... just going back and forth wears me out! Gettin' old, I guess...
Just got done with a 500 mile trip with the duals. LOVE being able to tell when I'm boosing by exhaust note. Not droney, and the stereo will bury it if I want.
But I'm mostly stock but for DP. I'm all weak and girly man...
I suck. Bummer... (sniff)

Fd3BOOST: I currently have an M2 DP and CB with the stock cat. I was thinking of going to a midpipe with a muffler welded in to keep it quiet, either a borla or magnaflow. Do you have any suggestions or advice?? Tom

for everyones info i have the RB single tip and DP. It is pretty damn loud to me. I thought the single tip and dual tips gave out similar exhaust tones.
