Raising suspension with spacer

I would like my car to be an inch higher, especially in front to help with rubbing and hitting the front cradle on speed bumps.
I have Racing Beat springs with GAB shocks.
I have a set of stock R1 springs.
I was thinking the R1 springs would be too soft and perhaps raise it too much?
Do people make billet aluminum spacers to put between the springs and the mounts or would the bolts then be too short?
Trying not to spend much $$.
Thanx!

Mazdatrix raised a FD I bought (wrecked) with a few washers between the top shock mount and the body. It was probably raised up a 1/4" or so.

Well that would be a start, I think I'll go ahead and do that, see how much it helps

Go back to stock springs. BTW all 93 springs were the same, including R1.

FYI, the RB's only lower the car .65" or so in the front and aren't but about 10% stiffer, so adding 1" will not only make it higher than stock and look like a 4x4, it will make the front higher than the rear, and that's bad for aerodynamics and stability.

A certain amount of rubbing/scraping is just a fact of life with these cars, especially lowered ones... the wheel wells are just small up front. If its abnormally serious, you may have a problem like a dead shock or fatigued coil, otherwise, ya gotta just live with it.

or you could put your stock springs back on. the 1" raise you want should easily be acquired that way.
