Nice video work! I think a camera for behind is a decent idea as well, but not sure what there would be to see besides little specs in the distance! Nice driving, the vette seemed to be a bit of a challenge but you managed to setup him up nicely.

Damián, what setup do you use for the data logging display part of the video? (G-meter, speedometer, track layout) I really enjoyed watching that G-vector moving around the circle.

Awesome, as always. What are the specs on your engine/turbo/fuel/exhaust/suspension/etc. setup

That was awesome, you really started to get on his *** after a bit, and he couldn't handle it.

Damian's specs?

I'M ALSO interested in the specs. I'm doing my first track day in my FD. Just wanted to know what I have to strive to be like Damian.

Regards,

Aldo

Damian has a full race car so unless your planning to build a race car, I don't think his specs are too important except for curiosity. I'm curious too, I'm just saying. Experience is one of the bigger factors at the track and car setup second.

he has a Apec 500r turbo, although this video might of been his previous set up(R85 if I remember correctly). He changed it sometime in 2007, not sure when. I think he runs somewhere between 12-14lbs of boost. Coilovers are JIC A2's. As far as fuel, search Damian's threads, there is a write up on his fuel kit. As thewird has said, I would suggest driving on the track alot before doing too many mods. I will be the first to tell you that the largest limiting factor on my car is the driver(me).

about time...hahaha

I was at this race and have been waiting on the video ever since! I was a bit bummed to not see you at the nationals this year, and unfortunately if you're not coming to Mid Ohio for a regional or national in 09 I likely won't get to see the car again.

I know you have since switched to a T5 setup, but was anything done to your stock transmission in that video? It seemed to shift pretty well, especially for handling that power level.

Currently I use traqmate to log the data, and trackvision to create the digital gauges, and my own custom setup to capture all the video feeds and then edit it all later in adobe premiere and after effects.

I am going to try to make a mid-o crossover event so I may still see ya there in 09 ;-)

I NEED to get back to mid-O, I know i can pull 3 or 4 seconds off my times with more time on track and better driving... not to mention a few car setup tweaks :-)

that vid it was just the stock trans, no mods, shifts great until teeth sheer off the gears :-) lol

you make a good point, its always good to upgrade the driver first, the car later...but hey, modding up the car is part of the fun :-)
