The RB cold air inlet was OK back in the early 90s. There wasn't much in the way of available mods back then. Today, it is a waste and a piece of junk.

It takes away cooling air from the IC at speeds below about 35mph, and in first can actually cause a back draft. OK for higher gears. Back about 99 when Mazda went track testing, they blew engines with the setup. They then redesigned it so the air filter did not take air from the IC.

If you want cool air, use a setup that draws air from outside the car, not from inside the engine compartment (like the blitz).

You can do lot's of things to get cooler air for your blitz setup, but nothing will be more efficent than building a box around the filters and having fresh, outside air sucked into that box.
