racing beat cb

how much less hp do you get out of the rb dual tip cb compared to the canister style exhausts. i'm asking cause its much quieter than the other exhausts, so it's more restrictive. anyone got any dyno numbers on the differences.

RB catback

Unless your looking for every ounce of Hp. you can get then the Racing Beat catback is great (won't kill your everyday drivablity) comfort. If noise isn't a problem I don't think you can get much less restrictive than the Apexi N-1 duals, the RB and M-2 seem to be neck and neck as far as performance and nice tone daily driveability. It's just a preferance thing and what you want to trade off. PS. I have the RB catback and love it. Will see how much louder it gets with the resonated midpipe. Jack

I love my RB single tip. I bought a tanabe racing medallion which I thought would be less restrictive than my RB, but the car actually felt slower with the tanabe on. I ended up selling the tanabe and putting the RB back on. Sorry I didn't get to dyno or get any actual numbers, but I thought that I felt a noticible difference between the two. Also, the tanabe is too loud for my taste, whereas the RB has a nice low tone to it. So don't underestimate the RB.

I will have the following:

1) JIC Magic Full TItan 90mm cat-back (12lb or so)

2) Blitz Nuer-spec RR cat-back

3) 5Zigen Miracle Fire-ball, (Titan and Stainless mixed) (15lb or so)

4) 5zigen T/C cat-back fireball

5) 5zigen Rocket cat-back

Personally I have the Miracle fireball on mine. It weight about 15lb. Really deep tone sound. Haven't been dyno yet. In japan been dyno on a Lancer 7. it produced about 28 more hp by adding on the miracle fire-ball!!

Is it just me, or does anyone else think the canister type exhausts (large single tip) look kinda ricey? I much prefer the dual tip look.

I've been looking at M2 and the RB dual tip for a while.
I like some of the cannister exhausts (the N1 is shweet)
however, the whole noise thing is too much for me.
I've got a Greddy PE I put on it back in 97/98 and it was
pretty cool at the time. But now all the PE seems to do is
attract kids in Hondas that want to street race (I'm
getting too old for that sh*t!- besides my wife is a cop!).

Has anyone compared the RB and M2? I feel a purchase coming on soon. The PE has gotta go....

Thanks
GEB

I have the M2, and it is a nice fit and sounds excellent. I did notice a significant power increase. It was so much that my car boosted to 13-14 psi with just this mod.
The sound is pretty nice. Nice quite rumble at idle and mildly louder than stock at WOT.
I think that the RB is higher qulity.

I've had the opportunity to own a greddy P.E., N1 dual, and currently a racing beat dual. The P.E. was actually a very nice exhaust... with "anaconda-like" 4 inch piping from the flange. To me... the P.E. felt like it gave more hp than both the N1duals and RB dual. The P.E. was also quiet. The N1 duals were too loud, and didn't seem as if it flowed as good as the P.E. (could be pyschological though). The RB duals, IMHO, is the best of both worlds. Nice deep (but not loud) tone... doesn't flow as well, but seems like it produces a bit more torque than the other two. I'll stick with the RB dual tip. And if any of you have not seen the build quality of these things... you will be amazed... it's a piece of art.

Pettit DP and Resonated Midpipe with RB Duals is on my BBR1...
imo...deeper drone on idle and cruising...deep loud on WOT...

Someone did a comparison on a dyno between the RB dual and not sure which canister, but it was less than 2 hp difference.

A guy here in AZ has dp, mp and the RB dual tip. That setup sounds great! His car is maybe 3x as loud as a bone stock exhaust system. My next purchace is probably going to be the RB dual tip exhaust.

I believe the RB catback is on another 2 month back order from Today, I was going to buy that one but then didn't want to wait so opted for the Blitz Nurspec full stainless. Costed me soemthing like $370 to door full stainless, sounds great! No regrets..

I am thinking real hard about picking up a Nur-Spec or Hiper as they seem to be the best values for the money...

But I really want to see pictures of them from a back view looking at the car; if anyone has one of either, please post! Thanks.
