race dump pipe......

if your running a straith exhaust 3" would you make any power to remove the back muffler pipe and run a fabricated race pipe that shoots downwards??? and 4 best results would it go after the downpipe or the mid pipe ... just a simple question to see if any more power could be made.... i would apreciate real comments and no smart *** remarks.. just a question dont know if it would be worth it for a track day.....

ps i do have a power fc , ported wastegate and air/fuel gauge and boost gauge...

10-20 hp more, than a strait pipe, seen it done @ one of my last dyno sessions

It sounds great though (open after the DP)


However it may still creep even w a ported WG, there’s just to much exhaust gas no matter how much you bore that hole out

how bad on the boost creep??? so 10-20 more whp???? damm thats seems like its very much worth it .. i know it would sound bad ***..... well i was just wondering becasue my friend in a srt4 runs at the track with an open down pipe and it sounds crazy ... he says its also alot faster..... just wanted to see if it was a good idea... anyone else think other wise????
