RA Oil Metering Pump Adapter: How to Modify to Fit Stock Twins?

Trying to get the pump to clear the oil tube on the front cover... the adapter puts it out further than normal.

I remember reading somwhere that you rotate the housing that has the connector on it (held on with 3 screws to the main unit) so the connector clears the pipe. That isn't possible because the bolt pattern isn't even.

What exactly are you supposed to do?

Also, that housing can only go on one way because there is some pin that indexes with it.

I'll just put the pump on like normal and do the adapter later. I'm going to run a "helper" pre-mix in the tank regardless...

Well, I finally found the post about rotating it and it sounds like the guy never actualy got around to doing it, so that explains why it doesn't work for me.
