R12 A/C compressor's

Question where there different R12 A/C compressors available in FD's as they where available on dealer showrooms?

What I mean by this is for the FC there was a compresor made by Sanden and a compressor made by Nipon Denso .

The 2 are not interchangeable as they have different hose ends.

Is there anything like this with the FD only with regard to the R12 (not R134) compressors.

Thanks...

Yes there are 2 different A/C compressors for the 93. Each takes a different max pressure value when filling. I'm not sure if the 94-95 is different from that other compressor that I saw listed for the 93.

I discovered that on an old thread on here when we had a problem charging up my A/C.

MANA and Nipondenso. I'm not sure if either compressor is strictly either R12 or R134, but I thought once the systems were drained, vacuumed and fittings converted, either charge could be used.

how do you tell the difference between the 2 compressors?

I found a pic of what I believe to me the MANA, anyone have a pic of the ND?

I think the label just says "Nippon Denso" or "Denso"

I see all sorts of references to a Nippondenso TV14C, but no other units...strange. Because we know that some cars had the a/c already installed when they got here and some got it installed by the dealer. Not sure which cars got which, frankly.

I have an AC compressor which came out of a 93 R1.

It is labeled as a nippon denso.

I'm starting to think that regardless of the AC system (Mana or ND) the compressor is the same.
