So you're saying the R1 is better then? hehehe... I really think there should be a Newbie section maybe under each Generation Specific section. It would give new users a place to post questions like these.

Neither model is better than the other. It depends what you want the car for. R1 = few luxuries, 2 oil coolers. Touring = softer ride, more luxuries, weighs a little more.

 

its as simple is the r1 has a more racing oriented suspension, and you can only get it in a 5speed. Touring has a toned down supension and you can get a automatic, and it has a moonroof ect.
