i just realized that the oil pressure is gone in favor of the boost and the speedo is in km/h instead of mph. does anyone know if they plan on making a USDM version?

Just got off the phone since my assitant said we already FAXed.

Ok they are thinking/trying to do it. The proble or kind of problem is they will need your gauges to covert, just like FEED does. They dont have a price on it yet, but they said maybe around $1k. this is a future thing, no hard info as in dates or anything.

JT.. So, If I send my US spec, they could be converted ? Can you convert Jspec gauge (pre- 99) and sell one?? I have a 97 Jspec but speed limits to 180.. I would like to get a 300 limit gauge with this conversion.

Hmm. 1k is little steep.. I have to think about that..

300 kph or 300 mph? Calibrated in mph, you'll lose a lot of granularity in the range that you use the car most, which is 0-70 mph or so. Note how short the sweep from 0 to 60 mph is on my 240 mph speedometer...

FWIW, my stock gauge reads 180kph. We can actually use the US stock gauge in our cars, but it'll SAY 180 mph, but we know that it's only 180 kph.

Are you sure about that????
Because I have Japan 98 cluster and it reads 180km/hr.. and ITS 180km/hr.. not 180MPH.. so, I would think US spec gauges will read US spec in Japanese cars??

Herblenny--I just got confused reading your reply to J-spec.

He said KPH not MPH if it matters..

Either way--On US spec gauges of course no MPHs anymore. It would be all j-spec only KPH. 0-300KPH clusters are pretty crowded, but I mean if you have a gauge that goes that high anyway, WHY would you be worried about about the closeness of speeds hehe

Why the **** would you need a speedometer that read 240mph??? You will never go that fast in your domestic rice mobile.

Since this is the second time you've called my car "rice" tonight, perhaps you could explain what your definition is so I can try to understand your logic. Having the horsepower and gearing to need a 240 mph speedometer isn't rice in most people's minds... putting a Bomex body kit on a basically stock car is.

So is that your explanation for why you're ricing out your car? Or is it really because you don't have the money to do more than slap on a tacky looking body kit...

Your definition of RICE means anything other then stock then? Since your dealer isnt going to be buying you any aero or performance upgrades..

STAC or Motec ADL are awesome and are worth their costs if you are making use of it. But I don't have the cash for that either..

Okay...I think you confused yourself. The 180 KPH is what we have in Japan. The US has 180 MPH. HOWEVER, the 180 MPH can be used in JSPEC cars. The speedometer may SAY 180 mph, but it reads EXACTLY THE SAME as a 180 KPH car does.

I hope so... I could care less about the 300 kph. I just want the BF look. It's SO easy to read at night.

But guys, isn't the BF look just white backlighting?

It would be the same as stock but stock uses a less bright light and a tinted orange gauge cover.

Let me get this straight.. So, when you put US spec in your car and travelling at say 160MPH, you are acturally going 160KPH??

Maybe I just misread your thread...
All I was saying is that when my Jspec cluster reads 160KPH, its 160KPH..

when My US spec read 160MPH, its 160MPH..

All I was pointing out is that gauges are interchangeable and that it just reads KPH or MPH.. but still measures your speed.

Anyhow, Let us know about Rmagic gauge clusters..
