Quick question about igniter

Just wondering, when the key is in the on position, with the car not running, will the igniter be getting power?

Yes, the igniter will have +12v to it when the key is in the on position. But the iginter will hot be energized until the ecu see the motor turning.

Thank you very much, just trying to see if thats where my ignition problem is, I broke an a arm at an autox, and when the fender came down into the tire, apparently it split some wires or something, just trying to see if its getting power at all

Okay getting 12v to the igniter, anyway to check if there is power coming out of
the igniter?
