Quick Midpipe Question

I've been searching through the threads on this and haven't found an exact what to do. Since I have a midpipe, and don't want to ditch my air pump, do I block off the flange for the split air pipe on my LIM or do I install my split air pipe and just let it vent to the atmosphere? Thanks for any help.

Why don't you want to ditch your airpump?

If you have a midpipe you will fail any sniffer or visual emissions inspection. The presence of an airpump will not change either situation. Going halfway with a midpipe installation is kinda pointless.

What else do I need to do to eliminate it?

Do NOT eliminate the air pump. All you have to do when mounting the midpipe is to remove the section of line after the check-valve (about a foot upstream of the midpipe). That way when emission time comes rolling around, you swap the main cat back in, reconnect the air pump, and you can pass without trying to find a "hookup".
