How do I know if my ecu has been upgraded? The car had an apexi safc, which to me means the ecu was upgraded. I open the ecu, had no idea what I was looking for, and didn't see anything unusual. Any pics of what I need to look for would be appreciated.

 

If there is no markings on the outside case of the ECU I guess I would look at the chips inside and see if they are marked at all. Those are the only things I know to check.

 

It sounds like to me that the ECU hasn't been upgraded, hence the AFC.
Its better to be safe then sorry.
