Question quick cooling question

hey


out of no where my radiator fan turns on by itself even after the car has been shut off for a while, idk wat the **** is wrong with it, i havent even touched it....does anyone kno wat the problem could b? its draining my battary and leaving me stranded places

check your relay it could be shorted acrossed or something

actually the car is supposed to turn the fan on by itself to cool it off from what i remember. it shouldnt last to long though.

well i was working on my friends car tonight in the my garage and i had my rx7 sitting right outside and its about 40 degrees out now....its cold and when i connected the battery to the car the fan came on right away....after sitting for like 4 hours, aside from the relay, could it be sumthing else?

If you check the fan operation you'll find that the recall installed a controller and if the engine reaches a certain temp the fans will come on until it drops below that point. This was done to help eliminate some of the engine compartment fires.

Just curious if the fan selector switch was set to 4 or the ac switch to on ? As I've found my fans will come on with both in this configuration and the key switch on if I reconnect the battery.
