Quick: Can I push an RX7 with no trans?

Transmission is removed. The driveshaft and rear diff are still installed. Can I safely push the car in and out of the garage? I thought I read somewhere that you couldn't/shouldn't

I don't see why not, what is holding the drive shaft up? as long as the drive shaft is not dragging on the ground I don't see why you couldn't move the car.

you can. the driveshaft will spin of course. so long as the braces are installed on the bottom to keep it from dragging on the ground then you will be fine. push it to the end of the world if you want......

(edit)

You can rest your drive shaft in a clean drain pan while letting it hang. A flexible plastic drain pan will be able to slide around the floor as you move the car allowing the DS to rotate freely.

Not sure how the transmission and PPF was removed w/o dropping the drive-shaft first unless the engine is also gone. So it should push easy. But regardless, it's only four remaining bolts (I would index first) because it will need to come out before the transmission/engine go back in. Or just use a bungie-cord to hold up the front of the drive shaft.

Engine was pulled too. Ppf is still in. I only moved it like 2 feet and back. There was some uncomfortable grinding noises but it rolled fine (might have been the loose slave cylinder and hoses). The kids wanted to get their bikes down.
