Questions about tire size

I just picked up a new set of wheels and I'm a little unsure of what size tire is going to fit. I read through the FD wheel guide and originally came up with the following specs.

I currently have these wheels
Wheels
F 18x8.5 ET37
R 18x9.5 ET 38

Tires
F 255/35/18
R 275/35/18

After a few posts on the RX7 Facebook group i'm now doubting these specs.

My new assumption is
F 235/40/18
R 265/35/18

Will these updated specs work without rolling fenders?

Will I have to roll fenders with my wheel spec?

What tire size should I be running?

Thanks in advance.

I have the updated specs listed above on my car and they fit fine with no fender rolling.

Should be fine. Your tire sizing is slightly taller than factory but well within acceptable range. I have almost the exact setup on order and do expect a need to roll my fenders even after mild lowering on coilovers.

F 18x8.5 ET38 - 225/40-18
R 18x9.5 ET 38 - 255/35-18
